Composers

Jarod Hart is a composer and music educator dedicated to creating meaningful musical experiences for developing musicians. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Iowa State University and is pursuing a master’s degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Hart’s compositions have been performed by various ensembles, including Horns of the Heartland and the Iowa State Wind Ensemble. His work emphasizes accessibility and pedagogical clarity, with a particular focus on expanding the high-quality repertoire available to young bands and orchestras.

Beyond original compositions, he creates thoughtful transcriptions and arrangements of established works, bringing classical literature to new audiences through fresh, educationally-focused settings.

When not composing or teaching, Jarod is an avid outdoorsman, finding inspiration and balance through hiking, running, biking, and paddling.
