Stephanie Simon

Stephanie Simon is an active composer and educator. She received a Bachelor Music from Furman University, and her Master of Music in composition from Carnegie Mellon University. During her time at Furman, she studied with Dr. Mark Kilstofte, Jay Bocook, and Dr. Sarah Gaskins. In 2015, she travelled abroad to study with Maestro Lorenzo Donati in Arezzo, Italy. In 2018, she was awarded the Harry G. Archer prize in orchestral composition. Her music has been performed by various national and international ensembles including the Valley Forge Chorale, Genova Vocal Ensemble, NAT 28, Renaissance City Winds, Lux Harmonica, and the Insieme Vocale Vox Cordis. She is a resident of Campobello, South Carolina.
